Erin is a board certified family nurse practitioner with over 25 years of nursing experience. She is specialized in hospitalist medicine and has a very holistic approach to patient and family centered care. She has worked in critical care setting since 1996 and emergency medicine since 2000. Erin has worked both in level 1 trauma centers and critical access hospitals. She also volunteers with Free Clinics of Iowa and is very active in homeless out reach programs, ensuring that all persons have access to medical care. Education is very important to her and she works as a nursing instructor for Mercy College in Des Moines. She has been actively involved in instructing since 2002. She has been married for over 30 years to her husband Darrin, they have raised 7 children and have 5 grandchildren. She has a passion for history, mainly Civil War and World War II along with a love to travel. Erin is extensively experience in treating patients of all ages for both the emergent and chronic conditions.
