Outpatient Services
Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) is an evidence-based nutrition therapy led by a Registered Dietitian (RD) to help treat medical conditions. It is an individualized nutrition process meant to help treat certain medical conditions. MNT occurs in a hospital or outpatient setting and involves a nutrition diagnosis as well as therapeutic and counseling services to help manage the following nutrition-related medical conditions:
- Diabetes, pre-diabetes, or diabetes prevention
- Cardiovascular disease
- Hypertension
- Cancer
- Gastrointestinal disorders
- Food allergies or intolerances
- High cholesterol or high triglycerides
- Weight management
- Cardio/Pulmonary rehab
If you are under the care of a physician and need nutrition counseling, you can be referred to a dietitian for MNT. Once the dietitian receives the referral, you will be contacted to set an appointment time for a consultation.
Oncology Nutrition Support
Our registered dietitians play a critical and indispensable role in our oncology patients' care team. Proper nutrition is vital to maintain strength, manage treatment side effects, and help patients tolerate and recover from cancer treatments.
Our dietitians work collaboratively with the patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers to develop individualized nutrition plans that address each patient's unique needs and goals.
By providing guidance on healthy eating habits and recommending specific diets, our dietitians can help optimize patients' nutrition and overall well-being. With their expertise and guidance, our dietitians are a key component of our oncology patients' care team and essential to providing comprehensive, holistic care to our patients.
Inpatient Services
Our Inpatient Services include nutrition assessments, physical assessments, and nutrition care plans, all of which are tailored to meet each patient's specific health needs.
We also provide physician-ordered disease-specific meals for treatment, healing, and ensuring that patients receive the necessary nutrients for their recovery.
