November 05, 2024
RED OAK, IA – October 2024 – The Montgomery County Memorial Hospital (MCMH) Auxiliary is proud to announce their donation of $11,000, presented during the annual May Breakfast. The funds were used to purchase a new high-low patient exam bed for the Oncology department, a Flavor RX machine for the MCMH Pharmacy, and a computer for Diabetes Education. The equipment, now fully in place, is already making a significant impact on patient care and comfort.
Becky Pritchard, Oncology, Hematology & Infusion Center Manager, expressed her gratitude for the new bed, saying, "The high-low exam table has been an incredible addition, allowing us to better care for patients by have more accessible exam beds. The Auxiliary’s support enables us to provide a higher level of personalized care, and we are deeply thankful."
Nate Weston, MCMH Pharmacy Manager, highlighted the benefits of the Flavor RX machine, stating, "This technology will be a game changer for our pediatric patients, making medications easier to take and increasing adherence. It’s wonderful to see how this equipment can make such a tangible difference in the lives of our youngest patients."
The MCMH Auxiliary, founded in 1961, has a long history of supporting the hospital's mission through volunteerism and fundraising. Their dedication continues to strengthen the hospital’s efforts to provide top-quality healthcare to the community. As the Auxiliary looks to the future, they are actively seeking new volunteers to join their mission of service and support.
"As we move forward, we’re excited about the opportunity to grow our team of volunteers," said Laura Kloewer, MCMH Auxiliary Liaison.
