Montgomery County Memorial Hospital Foundation Donates $70,417 for New Vital Monitors

Montgomery County Memorial Hospital + Clinics (MCMH + Clinics) received a generous donation of $70,417 from the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital Foundation. The funds were used to purchase new vital monitors for the inpatient medical-surgical unit.
The new bedside monitors will integrate with the hospital’s electronic health system, updating patient charts in real-time. This is essential in today’s healthcare environment where vital sign data collection, validation and timely EMR postings are necessary to provide the best possible medical care.
The Montgomery County Memorial Hospital Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 1984 that supports MCMH + Clinics in its mission. Each year, the Foundation's board members raise money through donations and special events to purchase equipment and fund programs for MCMH + Clinics.
“The Inpatient Unit nursing staff are grateful for the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital Foundation and their generous donation towards the purchase of bedside vital sign monitors. The technology provides accurate vital sign monitoring, a necessity in the delivery of safe patient care. The system integrates with the electronic medical record providing real time documentation at the patient bedside," said Kerry Schafer, MCMH Inpatient Manager.
