Emily Maass, ARNP
Primary Care & Hospitalist
Biography
Growing up in a small, rural community, Emily possessed a desire to provide healthcare in a similar setting as her hometown. After completion of her undergraduate nursing studies, she pursued further studies at Briar Cliff University, graduating with her Master of Nursing degree - family nurse practitioner program in 2019. During her graduate studies, she specifically chose practice sites in a rural setting to better prepare her for future practice. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
When asked about her profession, she states, “This is more than a job. This is caring for fellow community members and friends, building relationships with others, and optimizing health outcomes. My goal is to help my patients be at their best, working together to create a plan that is achievable and realistic. I enjoy the variety of ages and presentation of healthcare needs. I love the constant learning of new information.”
When not tending to work-related duties, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, including travel, movies, gardening, baking, and family game nights, including playing Dungeons & Dragons almost weekly. She continues to reside in small town Southwest Iowa.
