Imaging Services at MCMH + Clinics
At the MCMH + Clinics Imaging Department, we offer a wide range of imaging services to aid in the process of diagnosing illnesses and treating conditions. Our team includes certified radiology technologists, support staff, and radiologists. MCMH + Clinics is FDA Accredited in mammography. We use digital technology for faster results, better image quality, and to store patient information securely.
Imaging Services Available at MCMH + Clinics Main Campus:
2D & 3D Mammography |
Our state-of-the-art 3D mammography technology enables us to capture high-resolution images of the breast tissue, which improves the accuracy of breast cancer screening and diagnosis.
2D mammograms are important for post-biopsy imaging, particularly for magnifying and characterizing calcifications that commonly occur in breast tissue.

CT Scan |
A CT scan is taken by a sophisticated machine that takes detailed pictures of the inside of your body. It can help doctors diagnose various health problems such as tumors or fractures. |
PET |
A diagnostic test that allows doctors to assess the functioning of different body parts. A small amount of a radioactive material is injected into your body, which is then imaged by a machine to show how your organs and tissues are working. |
MRI |
Another advanced machine that uses magnets and radio waves to take pictures of your body's internal structures. It's especially useful for detecting issues like brain injuries or joint damage. |
X-Ray Services |
General X-ray services encompass the utilization of specialized machinery to capture images of the internal structures of your body. These X-ray images aid doctors in assessing the condition of your bones, organs, and tissues, facilitating the detection of potential issues or injuries. During a general X-ray procedure, you will be positioned in different poses to achieve precise and clear images. Once the images are obtained, medical professionals carefully analyze them to formulate accurate diagnoses and determine the most appropriate treatment strategies. |
Breast Biopsies |
Our breast biopsy service is a minimally invasive procedure that enables our team of experts to extract tissue samples for further analysis, allowing for an accurate diagnosis of breast abnormalities. |
Ultrasound |
Our ultrasound service uses sound waves to create images of the inside of the body, which is useful for diagnosing a range of conditions, including tumors, cysts, and growths. 3D and 4D ultrasounds are performed for diagnostic purposes only. |
Nuclear Medicine |
A type of medical imaging that involves using a small amount of radioactive material to study your body's organs and tissues. It's a helpful tool for diagnosing a variety of health conditions. Every second and fourth Monday of the month, DMS Health Technologies sends a mobile imaging service to MCMH + Clinics to see patients locally. |
Fluoroscopy |
An imaging technique that uses X-rays to produce real-time moving images of the inside of your body. It's often used to examine the digestive system or to guide the placement of medical devices in the body. Dr. Gordon is the primary radiologist performing Fluoroscopy procedures. |
DEXA Osteoporosis Screening |
Our DEXA osteoporosis screening is a specialized imaging service designed to detect the risk of osteoporosis. |
Low Dose Lung Cancer Screening |
A specialized type of CT scan that uses a lower amount of radiation than traditional CT scans to produce images of the lungs. This technique is particularly useful for detecting signs of lung cancer at an early stage, when it's easier to treat successfully. |
Interventional Radiology |
Interventional radiology is a medical specialty that uses advanced imaging techniques to guide minimally invasive procedures, such as stenting and RF varicose vein procedures and embolization. This approach is used to diagnose and treat various medical conditions in different parts of the body, including organs and tissues. Compared to traditional surgical methods, interventional radiology offers shorter recovery times, fewer complications, and less pain for patients. It is used to treat a wide range of conditions, such as cancer, vascular disease, and varicose veins. Interventional radiologists, like Dr. Gordon, work closely with other medical specialties to provide comprehensive care for patients and collaborate with referring physicians to determine the best course of treatment. |
